Capital Dynamics to buy 68-MW wind portfolio in UK

Capital Dynamics AG will acquire 100% of the equity in a wind portfolio with a combined capacity of 68 MW from Canada's Brookfield Renewable Partners LP in Northern Ireland.

The portfolio, comprising of four operating wind facilities, is incentivized under the Northern Ireland Renewables Obligation, a government program that supports the production of renewable energy. Capital Dynamics' European Clean Energy Infrastructure business is acquiring the assets for an undisclosed amount.

Once the acquisition is complete, Capital Dynamics, a Swiss-headquartered private asset management firm, said it will be one of the largest independent operators of wind power in Northern Ireland. Brookfield Renewable will continue to provide operational support for the project under a long-term services contract, according to an Aug. 20 release.
