Alta offers $65M for Miami building; Charlotte, NC, portfolio sells for $63M

* Alta Developers principal Henry Pino offered to pay $65 million for a co-op building at 1430 Brickell Bay Dr. in Miami, subject to the rezoning of the property for 48 stories, the South Florida Business Journal reported. According to the report, the current zoning would allow up to 275 units in 12 stories.

* OA Development bought five buildings totaling 395,796 square feet of office space at The Park-Huntersville in Charlotte, N.C., from Bank of America in a $62.5 million deal, the Charlotte Business Journal reported, citing Mecklenburg County records.

* Old Port Cove Holdings Inc. sold three marinas in North Palm Beach and Riviera Beach, Fla., to a Safe Harbor Marinas affiliate for approximately $61 million, The Real Deal reported, citing property records.

* Greystar Real Estate Partners LLC acquired the 336-unit Waterford Place Apartment Homes complex at 2810 E. 120th Ave. in Thornton, Colo., the Denver Business Journal reported. Citing Adams County public records, the report added that Starwood Capital had paid $62.3 million in 2016 to purchase the property.

* Cordish Cos. bought a property at 900 Packer Ave. in Philadelphia for $37 million, with a view to developing a new $600 million casino, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported, citing property records.

* Buchtel Realty Investors acquired a 92,562-square-foot class A office building at 90th St. & Mountain View Rd. in Scottsdale, Ariz., from RM Mountain View LLLP for $30.5 million, the Phoenix Business Journal reported, citing the Maricopa County Assessor's Office.

* Colony NorthStar Inc. sold a 120-bed skilled nursing facility for $6 million and acquired a triple-net lease seniors housing property in the fourth quarter of 2017. The company also sold three skilled nursing facilities totaling 471 beds for a total of $14 million subsequent to the quarter.

* An undisclosed real estate investment trust purchased the 69-room, 130-bed, 45,654-square-foot Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehab Center at 8111 Tis Well Dr. in Alexandria, Va., for $13 million.

* A Toll Brothers Inc. affiliate bought 113 acres along R.G. Skinner Pkwy. in southern Duval County, Fla., from Eastland Timber LLC for about $4.9 million, the Jax Daily Record reported.

* The Jack Parker Corp. is looking to sell a roughly 2,000-unit New York City multifamily portfolio, including the three-building, 1,327-unit Parker Towers, The Real Deal reported, citing unnamed sources.
