Norway's B2Holding ASA, through its Croatian unit B2Kapital d.o.o, agreed to buy a portfolio of nonperforming loans from UniCredit SpA's Zagrebacka Banka d.d.
The book comprises retail and corporate, secured and unsecured NPLs in Croatia with a gross book value of €245.7 million as of July 31, 2017. The settlement for the deal is expected by July.
B2Holding said the deal has received "a positive opinion" from the Croatian National Bank. Meanwhile, the Italian lender said the sale is part of its groupwide efforts to reduce nonperforming exposures.
