No lenders fail BoE stress test; FPC raises countercyclical buffer

The Bank of England's 2017 stress test revealed that none of the U.K.'s seven largest lenders needs to strengthen their capital base.

At the same time, the BoE's Financial Policy Committee has announced that it plans to increase the countercyclical buffer rate, which applies to all banks, to 1% from 0.5%.
