Hayashikane Sangyo Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 amounted to ¥3.33 per share, an increase from 32 sen per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥29.6 million, an increase from ¥2.9 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 0.2% from 0.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 7.7% on an annual basis to ¥12.62 billion from ¥11.71 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 7.3% on an annual basis to ¥12.52 billion from ¥11.66 billion.
Reported net income grew from the prior-year period to ¥97.0 million, or ¥10.89 per share, from ¥22.0 million, or ¥2.47 per share.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
