M3 Inc. said its profit for the first half of fiscal 2020 rose 15.4% year over year.
Profit attributable to owners of the parent for the six months ended Sept. 30 came to ¥9.83 billion, up from ¥8.52 billion in the prior-year period.
M3 reported diluted EPS of ¥14.47, up 10.1% on an annual basis from ¥13.14. Basic EPS is ¥14.48, an increase from ¥13.15.
Net sales grew 15.5% year over year to ¥61.55 billion from ¥53.28 billion.
The Tokyo-based company maintained its outlook for fiscal 2020, with profit attributable to owners of the parent expected to amount to ¥22.00 billion and net sales at ¥130.00 billion. Basic EPS for the fiscal year is anticipated at ¥32.43.
M3 utilizes the internet to provide medical-related services primarily to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
