French annual inflation eased to 1.3% in February from 1.5% in January, in eurozone-harmonized terms, flash estimates from the National Institute of Statistics and Economics showed.
In monthly terms, prices contracted by 0.1% in February, as they did in January.
The nonharmonized consumer price index rose by 1.2% in February, compared to 1.3% inflation in January, reflecting a slower rate of rises in prices of food, services and tobacco. Energy price inflation was steady from the previous month while manufactured product inflation rose slightly.
