Tokyotokeiba Q3 profit climbs 8.0% YOY

Tokyotokeiba Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the third quarter came to ¥47.18 per share, a gain of 8.0% from ¥43.67 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥1.35 billion, a gain of 8.0% from ¥1.25 billion in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 22.3% from 20.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue came to ¥6.04 billion, compared with ¥6.05 billion in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses decreased year over year to ¥3.87 billion from ¥4.05 billion.

Reported net income totaled ¥1.26 billion, or ¥44.06 per share, compared to ¥1.27 billion, or ¥44.30 per share, in the prior-year period.

As of Nov. 11, US$1 was equivalent to ¥122.91.
