Life and health

Storebrand ASA has appointed Heidi Skaaret to lead its Norwegian retail market, Terje Løken to be executive vice president of its new digital and innovation division, Tove Selnes to be the executive vice president of people, and Trygve Håkedal to be executive vice president of technology.

Skaaret replaces Wenche Martinussen, who is leaving the company. Jostein Dalland is also leaving as the executive vice president of digital business development.


RSC Insurance Brokerage Inc., which does business as Risk Strategies, appointed Steve Giannone to run its office in Chicago and oversee its operations in the central U.S. region.

Giannone most recently served as the senior vice president and managing director at the insurance brokerage and consultation practice of USI Insurance Services LLC.


Assurant Inc. named Christian Formby as president for Europe.

Formby will be responsible for the development and execution of strategic priorities for the company's European operations, including France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the U.K.

Formby most recently was senior vice president for global property international at the international property business of Assurant.


CFC Underwriting Ltd. has added Angus Marshall to its transactional liability team, Insurance Insider reported.

Marshall reportedly will be working with practice leader Matthew Giddings to expand the transactional liability book.

Marshall most recently served as head of mergers and acquisitions insurance for the U.K. and London at American International Group Inc.

Property and casualty

Beazley PLC appointed Will Roscoe head of special purpose Syndicate 5623.

Roscoe will be responsible for the syndicate's growth strategy, portfolio underwriting and the creation of new facilities. Roscoe previously was the head of broker relations for the U.K. and Europe at Beazley.


Alliant Insurance Services Inc. named Dan Madej senior vice president for public entity.

Madej will be based in Chicago and will also serve as the practice leader for the public entity analytics practice of Alliant Public Entity.

Madej most recently was a senior vice president at a global brokerage.


Allianz Insurance PLC has appointed Alastair Warren-Upham to be a London markets manager.

Warren-Upham replaces Martyn Davenport, who is retiring. He will oversee the distribution strategy for its branches in London and engagement with the London market.

Warren-Upham most recently worked as a strategic account manager at Allianz.


HDI Global Insurance Co. named Patricia Ryan to be a senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, effective immediately.

Ryan replaces David Neumeister, who is leaving the company.

Ryan most recently was executive vice president and general counsel at Bermuda-based American Overseas Group Ltd.
