By-health Co. Ltd. said its second-quarter normalized net income came to 11 fen per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 16 fen per share.
EPS climbed 21.6% year over year from 9 fen.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 153.4 million yuan, an increase of 21.6% from 126.2 million yuan in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin declined to 25.6% from 27.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 29.7% year over year to 599.4 million yuan from 462.0 million yuan, and total operating expenses increased 30.3% year over year to 370.8 million yuan from 284.6 million yuan.
Reported net income rose 20.6% year over year to 211.7 million yuan, or 15 fen per share, from 175.5 million yuan, or 12 fen per share.
