Report: Dyal, Goldman unit nearing deal to co-invest in Clearlake Capital

Dyal Capital Partners and Petershill, a group within Goldman Sachs Group Inc.'s asset management unit, are nearing a deal to jointly acquire a minority stake in Clearlake Capital Group LP, Bloomberg News reported, citing "people familiar with the matter."

Goldman's Petershill Private Equity LP reportedly raised $2.5 billion to acquire minority stakes in private equity firms.

The size of the stake that Dyal and Petershill may acquire, and the price to be paid is not yet known, but Clearlake may use the investment to fund its growth, according to the report.
