ABN Amro to name new CEO

ABN AMRO Bank NV's supervisory board intends to appoint former PricewaterhouseCoopers Netherlands executive Robert Swaak as its new CEO.

Swaak will succeed Kees van Dijkhuizen as head of the Dutch banking group at the company's April 22 annual general meeting, subject to regulatory approval. Van Dijkhuizen opted not to seek a new term as CEO after his current term expires at the end of the AGM.

Swaak, a former chairman of PwC Netherlands' management board, also held several executive roles at the company, including CFO, COO and chief human resources officer.
