Ameris Bancorp ups max amount in loan agreement

Moultrie, Ga.-based Ameris Bancorp and NexBank SSB of Dallas have again amended their 2013 loan agreement to increase the maximum aggregate principal amount of Ameris' outstanding revolving loans. The new amount is $60.0 million, according to a Form 8-K filed Dec. 29.

The new terms also lower the total risk-based capital ratio that the agreement requires of Ameris Bank and waives the latter's previous failures in 2016 to satisfy that requirement.
