Taiwan Paiho Q3 profit climbs 51.7% YOY

Taiwan Paiho Ltd said its normalized net income for the third quarter came to 88 Taiwan cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 94 cents per share.

EPS rose 51.7% year over year from 58 cents.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$262.0 million, an increase of 51.7% from NT$172.7 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 11.1% from 7.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 6.8% on an annual basis to NT$2.36 billion from NT$2.21 billion, and total operating expenses came to NT$1.89 billion, compared with NT$1.87 billion in the year-earlier period.

Reported net income increased 37.0% year over year to NT$298.2 million, or 100 cents per share, from NT$217.6 million, or 73 cents per share.
