Eskimos SA Q1 profit climbs 68.2% YOY

Eskimos SA said its normalized net income for the first quarter was 211,250 zlotys, a rise of 68.2% from 125,630 zlotys in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin increased to 1.3% from 0.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 20.1% on an annual basis to 16.7 million zlotys from 13.9 million zlotys, and total operating expenses climbed 20.7% from the prior-year period to 16.3 million zlotys from 13.5 million zlotys.

Reported net income increased 46.1% year over year to 320,000 zlotys, or 2 groszy per share, from 219,000 zlotys, or 1 groszy per share.

As of May 15, US$1 was equivalent to 3.54 zlotys.
