Interactive Brokers Group appoints CEO

Greenwich, Conn.-based Interactive Brokers Group Inc. appointed Milan Galik CEO, succeeding Thomas Peterffy, effective in the third quarter.

Peterffy will continue to serve as chairman of the board.

Galik has been with the company for 28 years and was appointed president in 2014. He has served on the board since the company went public in 2007.

The company's board is expected to formalize the changes at its meeting Jan. 22.
