Snap Inc. has responded to a Change.org petition that called for the removal of the company's latest Snapchat redesign by promising an update to help users "uncomfortable" with the app's changes.
In its response, issued Feb. 20 by "Team Snapchat," the company acknowledged that "the new Snapchat has felt uncomfortable for many" and said an update is coming soon for iOS and Android to help users further sort information to align with their personal preferences. It also said the Friends and Discover pages it introduced in the app redesign were intended to adapt to users' preferences over time.
The petition, titled "Remove the new Snapchat Update," which has been signed by over 1.2 million so far, said the redesign made several Snapchat features more difficult to use and users want the company to roll the app back to its prior version.
