Bowmark Capital agrees to sell UK insurance broker Aston Lark

Middle-market investor Bowmark Capital LLP will exit U.K.-based independent chartered insurance broker Aston Lark Ltd.

The target company will be sold to the merchant banking division of Goldman Sachs Group Inc. The deal is set to close upon receipt of regulatory and antitrust approvals.

Aston Lark, which was created out of the combination of Aston Scott Ltd. and Lark, is focused on commercial insurance, private client insurance and employee benefit advice.

Bowmark initially invested in Aston Scott in a management buy-in transaction in May 2015.

Bowmark was advised by Livingstone Partners and Macquarie Capital.
