DISH Network Corp. and Augusta, Ga.-based Sagamore Hill Broadcasting have locked horns in a broadcast retransmission dispute, FierceCable.com reported May 22, citing official statements.
The result has been a blackout of stations including ABC (US)-affiliate WNCF-TV in Montgomery, Ala.; FOX (US)-affiliate KFJX-TV in Joplin, Mo.; and CBS (US)-affiliate KZTV in Corpus Christi, Texas.
In a statement, FOX 14 said the retrans deal with DISH expired May 21, and it will continue to pursue an agreement.
Meanwhile, Andy LeCuyer, DISH senior vice president of programming, said the company expressed its willingness to grant an extension and a retroactive true-up on rates to settle the dispute, but Sagamore declined.
