Pattern Energy Group Inc. has asked the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for approval to sell a 49% ownership interest in two New Mexico wind facilities.
Pattern in a May 15 application to FERC said it intends to sell a stake in Broadview B Member LLC through Pattern Energy Group LP to Vertuous Energy LLC. Broadview B owns the 181.7-MW Broadview Energy JN and the 142.6-MW Broadview Energy KW wind facilities, both in Curry County, N.M. Pattern Energy will retain the remaining 51% membership interest in the wind facilities.
The applicants have asked the commission to approve the transaction by June 30. (FERC Docket EC20-67)
The output of both wind facilities is sold under long-term contracts to Edison International subsidiary Southern California Edison Co.
The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board on March 31 completed its acquisition of independent power producer Pattern Energy. Vertuous Energy is owned by another Canadian pension plan, the Public Sector Pension Investment Board.
