Georgia-based Community First Bancshares names COO

Covington, Ga.-based Community First Bancshares Inc (MHC) on March 26 named Robert Vickers COO of the company and its unit, Newton Federal Bank (MHC).

Vickers was the senior vice president and COO of ABB Financial Group Inc. and Affinity Bank, which Community First Bancshares recently acquired.

Gregory Proffitt, who served as the president and COO of Community First Bancshares and Newton Federal Bank, will continue to serve as president of both entities.

In addition, Robin Reich was appointed to the boards of Community First Bancshares and Newton Federal Bank on March 26.
