Brookfield Asset Management unit to issue US$600M of notes

Brookfield Asset Management Inc. will commence a public offering of US$600 million of notes due 2050.

Brookfield Finance LLC, an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Brookfield Asset Management, will issue the notes, which the parent company will fully guarantee. A portion of net proceeds from the offering will be used to redeem all of Brookfield Asset Management's C$350 million of 5.30% notes due March 1, 2021, and the remainder will be used for general corporate purposes.

Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., BofA Securities Inc. and SMBC Nikko Securities America Inc. are joint book-running managers for the offering.
