Report: Goldman, JPMorgan to advise BC Partners on Acuris sale

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and JPMorgan Chase & Co. were hired to advise BC Partners on the sale of financial news and information company Acuris, formerly known as Mergermarket Ltd., Bloomberg News reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

The London-based private equity firm is looking to sell Acuris, which includes the Mergermarket and Debtwire Inc. brands, for more than £1 billion, the unnamed sources told the news outlet. Negotiations are still at an early stage and final details have yet to be decided, they added.

It was first reported in November 2018 that BC Partners is planning to unload its portfolio company for more than £1 billion.

Representatives for BC, Goldman and JPMorgan did not comment on the matter.
