Customer LoginsCapital Four, a leading independent credit asset management firm managing more than $18 billion in assets, has selected IHS Markit's Credit Solutions to support its US-based investment operations. As a growing player in the CLO market, Capital Four was seeking a provider to help it efficiently scale its portfolio administration capabilities as it expands its team of investment professionals in the US.
To operate effectively in the CLO market, firms need specialized expertise in areas including technology operations, indenture compliance, trade settlement, and data sourcing and integration. Building out these middle- and back-office functions can be costly and inefficient.
IHS Markit's CLO services simplify the process of launching a CLO investment platform through a combination of the cloud-based WSO suite and expert services. Capital Four worked with IHS Markit to select services that made sense for its operational model, including asset servicing, trade closing services and CLO indenture compliance reporting and reconciliation. The firm was also able to take advantage of WSO's extensive integration capabilities to connect to a third-party order management system, ratings information, and loan pricing data.
Joe Sorensen, Head of US Finance & Operations at Capital Four, said, "We were seeking a technology partner with deep experience in the credit market and the flexibility to work with us at every stage of the growth of our business. IHS Markit will extend the capabilities of our team and help us focus on core investment decision-making."
Capital Four US CEO Jim Wiant added, "We are excited about our partnership with IHS Markit as we expand Capital Four's existing European CLO business with the launch of US CLOs. CLOs are a core focus for our business and we seek to partner with best-in-class service providers as we expand."
Elina Gokh, Managing Director and Global Head of Credit Solutions at IHS Markit, said, "We are thrilled to support the experienced team at Capital Four as they grow their investment platform. Our unique combination of solutions removes barriers for firms who are launching their CLO investment strategies by providing them ready access to best-in-class solutions."
IHS Markit is a trusted provider in the credit markets, with solutions for a full range of liquid credit, private debt, and multi-asset strategies. The IHS Markit credit ecosystem empowers asset managers to unlock visibility into their portfolios while also minimizing operational costs.
