Drew is the NY based Principal at American Family Ventures, a $200m Venture Capital firm backed by American Family Insurance. He focuses on series Seed to B insurance, cyber security, and fintech startups.
He was previously with AXA US in Strategy and M&A and assisted in the development of and then joined AXA Strategic Ventures. Drew also co-founded and led CalendarFly.com, an education technology company and has been an active member of the NYC startup community since 2008.
He also has a deep finance background, getting his start in FX and analysis of esoteric structured finance products. He has led publicly traded restructurings, capital raising, and partnership negotiations on three continents including in North America (US and Canada), Asia (China and Hong Kong) and Europe (France). Tim Attia is the co-founder and CEO of Slice Labs, a technology startup and leading on-demand insurance cloud platform provider. Slice launched in 2016 with a mission to change, improve and redesign insurance. The company’s Insurance Cloud Services (ICS) is transforming traditional insurers into digitally-driven carriers by providing them with a platform that enables them to quickly ideate, experiment, test and deploy new, on-demand insurance products. Tim began his career with a large technology and management consulting firm, and has since continued to work with major global insurance carriers on technology and distribution. He is excited to use his background in insurance and financial technology to apply intelligent design, data and technology to solving the gaps and risks facing the growing on-demand workforce. Nimayi Dixit is a fintech research analyst at S&P Global Market Intelligence. Prior to his role at S&P, Nimayi worked as an analyst for Hexayurt Capital and its sister company Mattereum, conducting due diligence on potential investments and partnership opportunities. Prior to this, Nimayi was a portfolio strategy analyst at Hawthorn, a unit of PNC Asset Management.
