Marco Alverà, born in New York in 1975, has been the CEO of Snam, one of the world’s leading energy infrastructure companies, since April 2016.

Marco has more than 20 years of experience in Italy’s most relevant energy companies.

He holds a degree in Philosophy and Economics from the London School of Economics and began his career working at Goldman Sachs in London before moving to Enel and subsequently joining Wind. Afterwards, he moved to Eni, where he worked for over 10 years holding positions of increasing responsibility.

Since 2017 he has been non-executive Director of S&P Global, where he is also Chair of the Finance Committee. He is also a member of the Executive Board and of the Steering Committee of the Giorgio Cini Foundation in Venice, a member of the Board of the Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) and a Visiting Fellow of the University of Oxford.

He is Vice President of Fondazione Snam, Snam’s no-profit entity committed to the social development of territories, and co-founder of the Kenta Foundation, active in promoting gender balance and combating educational poverty.

Marco wrote the books ‘The Hydrogen Revolution’ (Hodder Studio) and ‘Zhero’(Salani) on hydrogen’s potential in the fight against climate change.

Martina L. Cheung is President of S&P Global Ratings. She has ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the business, including commercial, analytical, control, and operations functions.

S&P Global Ratings is regulated in many of the countries in which it operates, and Martina is a director of three of its largest legal entities, S&P Global Ratings Europe Limited, S&P Global Ratings UK Limited and Standard & Poor’s Financial Services LLC. Ms. Cheung also serves as the Executive Sponsor of S&P Global Sustainable1, supporting to drive the enterprise-wide growth strategy for ESG.

Ms. Cheung is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Economic Club of New York, and served on the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) subcommittee on Climate-Related Market Risk. Ms. Cheung has spoken on key industry topics covering ESG, cyber security, technology and diversity in the workforce across public forums that include the World Economic Forum at Davos, the Institute for International Finance membership meeting, and Politico Women Rule, among others.

Ms. Cheung joined S&P Global in 2010 as Vice President of Operations and went on to serve as S&P Global’s Chief Strategy Officer, where she was responsible for the execution and measurement of S&P Global’s continuing expansion of its global footprint. She also served as Head of Risk Services in S&P Global Market Intelligence, where she leveraged S&P Global’s significant risk intellectual property to serve clients in managing complex risk challenges. She most recently served as President of S&P Global Market Intelligence and Ms. Cheung formally served on the Board of CRISIL.

Ms. Cheung is the Executive Sponsor for the Asian Professionals for Excellence (APEX), and Women’s Initiative for Networking Success (WINS). She also has active involvement in other S&P Global ERGs including Women in Technology (WIT) and S&P Global's LGBTQ+ & Friends ERG (Spectrum). Ms. Cheung’s philanthropic efforts include support for organizations such as Upwardly Global and YWCA.

Prior to joining S&P Global, she worked in the consulting industry, first in Accenture’s Financial Services Strategy group and later as a Partner at Mitchell Madison Consulting. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce and a master’s degree in Business Studies from National University of Ireland, Galway.

Roman Kramarchuk leads efforts at Commodity Insights to analyze the impacts of the energy transition – driven by policy changes and technology advancements – on the energy sector and energy market outlooks, with a special focus on clean energy (i.e. carbon markets, hydrogen, stationary storage, electric vehicles/alternative transport, renewables, etc.). He oversees the Commodity Insights Analytics Future Energy Outlooks – advising clients on energy transition and long term energy market views (including 2 degree scenarios) – and has led the GHG and North American Environmental Markets Services – offering insights into environmental markets & policies.

Prior to joining PIRA, now part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, he was at the U.S. EPA, developing key power plant and industrial emissions regulations at the Clean Air Markets Division. With both PG&E NEG and PA Consulting / PHB Hagler Bailly, he evaluated strategies regarding fuel choice, capital investments and trading. Roman also worked on international projects to develop power markets and regulatory capacity in the former Soviet Union and India. At the Federal Reserve Board, Roman analyzed trends in industrial production.

He has an M.P.P. from the Harvard Kennedy School and a B.A. in economics and B.S.E. in systems engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Richard is Chair of the Future of Sustainable Data Alliance Data Council, a member of the Global Advisory Council of the Oxford Smith School Stranded Assets Programme, the Scottish Forum on Natural Capital, and the Hong Kong Green Finance Association. He is an Advisory Board Member for IUCN Finance for Nature initiative and the Capitals Coalition. Previously, Richard was a strategy consultant and began his career as a neuroscientist. He holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh and is an honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Scott Tew is the founder of the Center for Energy Efficiency & Sustainability at Ingersoll Rand (CEES) which supports all of the company’s strategic brands and is responsible for forward-looking sustainability initiatives aimed at transitioning to more efficient and climate-friendly solutions, and minimizing resource use within company facilities.

In addition, Tew serves as a thought leader in linking public policy, economic impacts and a value-stream approach to sustainability. His recent efforts have led to the development of world-class initiatives including introduction of the company’s comprehensive triple-bottom-line targets, the creation of the EcoWiseTM product portfolio, the Gigaton Challenge to combat climate impacts; and as a pioneer in integrated reporting. Ingersoll Rand is the only industrial company to be listed on both the World and North America Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI) for the past 9 years.

Tew currently serves as board chairman of the US Business Council for Sustainable Development (USBCSD) and incoming board chair of the World Environment Center (WEC). He is the author of myriad white papers related to energy efficiency and sustainable practices and contributed to the recently released book, Practicing Sustainability, by Springer Publishing.
