Lynn Bachstetter is a Senior Director on the U.S. Insurance Product Management team at S&P Global Market Intelligence. In this role, Lynn helps oversee the operational and strategic management of the Insurance Group. The Insurance Group is responsible for delivering company-specific and sector information to 1,000+ clients, including investment banks, asset management firms, global and regional insurance companies, brokers, consultants and accounting firms. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Lynn was a credit ratings analyst with Fitch Ratings covering insurance companies. Lynn holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Villanova University.
Deep BanerjeeSector Lead, Life/Health Insurance Ratings, S&P Global Ratings
Deep Banerjee is a Director and Sector Lead with S&P Global’s Financial Services Ratings Group, based in New York. He covers a portfolio of publicly-traded and private insurance companies.
He is also involved in the criteria development process and publishing commentary articles on relevant topics. In life insurance space he was written on the sector outlook, middle market insurance, and capital and investment trends. Related to the health insurance sector, he has published on health insurance reform related topics, including market trends, risk corridor, and other premium stabilization programs. Deep is a speaker at industry conferences and investor events on relevant topics. He also moderates panels at the annual S&P Global Insurance Conference. Additionally, Deep has been quoted by national publications like the NYT, WSJ, Bloomberg, WaPo, and CNBC.
Before joining the Insurance group, Deep was working in the Corporate Ratings team at S&P Global Ratings. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Marietta College, Ohio.
Tracy Dolin-BenguiguiSector Lead, P/C Insurance Ratings, S&P Global Ratings
Tracy Dolin-Benguigui is a Director and P/C Insurance Sector Lead in the North American Practice of S&P Global Ratings. She has analytic responsibilities for a portfolio of the largest property casualty insurance and reinsurance companies in North America and Bermuda. She also is responsible for publication of commentaries related to the U.S. personal and commercial lines sectors, including the semi-annual P/C insurance sector & economic outlook and topical research including cyber, G-SII/US SIFI, M&A trends and TRIA. In addition, she chairs the Americas analytical oversight consistency council, and co-chairs a focus teams covering the global multiline insurance market and global regulatory & accounting developments. Tracy has spoken on property casualty insurance industry and ratings trends at numerous conferences and maintains a regular dialogue with investors, media, industry groups, intermediaries, and rated insurers.
Prior to joining S&P Global Ratings in 2005, Tracy was an insurance broker at AON Risk Services. Her responsibilities included client relationship management and insurance placements for middle market, healthcare and Japan based clients.
Tracy holds a B.A. from Brandeis University with a double major in Economics and Health, Law and Society interdisciplinary program. Tracy acquired a New York Property & Casualty Insurance Brokerage License during her tenure at AON.
Raghu RamachandranHead, Insurance Asset Channel, S&P Dow Jones Indices
Raghu Ramachandran is the Head of S&P Dow Jones Indices’ (S&P DJI) Insurance Asset Channel. In this role, he is responsible for applying S&P DJI resources to solve problems for insurance companies. Raghu works on how indices are used to create innovative products for insurance companies, benchmarking general account portfolios and the use of ETFs by insurance companies.
Prior to joining S&P DJI, Raghu was CIO at a P&C and a Life insurance company. Prior to working at insurance companies, Raghu was an insurance portfolio manager and head of the portfolio strategy group for Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. Previously, Raghu also worked at Tillinghast (now Willis Towers Watson), developing stochastic modeling tools. He has extensive experience in portfolio and liquidity management, portfolio strategy, hedging, product development, and stochastic modelling.
Raghu has a bachelor’s in physics and a bachelor’s in astronomy from the University of Texas at Austin. Raghu regularly writes and speaks about investment issues related to insurance. In June 2017, Raghu published an analysis of ETF usage by insurance companies which received a “Highly Commended” award for Best ETF Paper by Savvy Investor.
Tim ZawackiSenior Research Analyst, S&P Global Market Intelligence
Tim has covered the insurance industry in various capacities since joining SNL Financial in 1999. Based in Charlottesville, VA, he authors the annual US P&C Market Report, containing an historical overview and projections of industry results for key lines of business. He also writes regular weekly columns and periodic research covering topics that include P&C and life industry financials, M&A activity and various strategic developments impacting the insurance sector.
