What is Knowledge Workspace?
Knowledge Workspace is the name for Accuris new platform for OHSIS, Trading Standards, and Specify It. For customers already subscribed to products through our Engineering Workbench platform, you will benefit from being able to access your UK products seamlessly through your existing login.
Why are we having to migrate?
At Accuris, we recognize that digital transformation is occurring across all segments of our customer base, resulting in significant changes in the way our clients want to access and work collaboratively with digital information and knowledge within their organizations. We recognized the best way to meet our client’s needs in both the short and longer term was to create a new platform that would enable us to meet customer expectations and set a basis for continuous enhancement in the longer term.
If we would rather stay with the old product, am I able to do so?
We need all users to migrate over to the new versions of your products but we are providing dual access to your current and new versions, to allow time for them to become familiar with the new registration process and functionality now available.
How long will I have dual access?
We anticipate that your organization will have a minimum of 3 weeks but those customers that access via SSO, Open Athens and Shibboleth will have longer to ensure a smooth transition of their users. We will be sending a communication with dates on when your access to your legacy platform will be switched off.
How do I login to my upgraded products?
Once you click on the link in the Welcome Letter, you will need to follow the instructions and register your details. There are some short Login Videos which will walk you through the process, plus further training materials available here on our Migration Centre.
How do I learn about all the new functionality available to me?
There will be live training webinars available for our users and the dates are posted on the training tab. Also, we have some training material available here on the Migration Centre to provide top tips for navigating around the new platforms.
Why has my Administration rights changed?
The Administrator will note some differences to the administration right interface, in regards to removing registered users and unlocking licenses. This is due to the enhanced security features within the platform and going forward, this information can be updated for you by our Customer Care team.
Why can’t I log in using my personal email address?
As part of the enhanced security for your organization, only users that have a corporate email address will be able to log-in. This will mean that when a user leaves your Company and has their corporate email address terminated, they will not have access to your subscription. If there are any users that must log-in using a personal email address, these can be discussed with our Customer Care team.
What do I need to do if I access through SSO (Shibboleth/Open Athens)?
If you currently access via SSO, Shibboleth or Open Athens, we want to ensure you have a longer period of transition, so your go-live date has been delayed. Therefore, you should continue to use your current platform and our Technical Team will be contacting you individually over the next few weeks to support this Migration.
