Silvina Aldeco-Martinez

Chief Product Officer

Silvina Aldeco-Martinez is Chief Product Officer, S&P Global Platts, a division of S&P Global and the and leading independent provider of information and benchmark prices for the commodities and energy markets. Silvina is responsible for the design and execution of Platts’ client-centric product vision and strategy with a focus on advancing the digitization of Platts product portfolio to power the commodity markets of the future. Based in London, Silvina is a member of the Platts Operating Committee and the Executive Sponsor for the division’s Energy Transition strategy.

Prior to joining S&P Global Platts in 2018, Silvina was the lead in the Investment Banking and Private Equity product management team at S&P Global Market Intelligence, a division of S&P Global and the world’s foremost provider of credit ratings, benchmarks and analytics in the global capital and commodity markets. In that capacity Silvina was responsible for business, market and partnership strategy for the Investment Banking and Private Equity client segments globally. Silvina was also responsible for identifying growth opportunities and driving customer-centric solutions.

Additionally, Silvina counts over 15 years of experience within credit risk assessment in mature and emerging markets, credit risk related product development, modelling, risk management and client advisory. This includes leadership of the S&P Risk Solutions consulting group, eight years’ experience as a ratings analyst and team leader for S&P Global Ratings, as well as experience developing analytical criteria for Latin American institutions and project finance lending.

Prior to joining S&P Global in 1996, Silvina was an equity research analyst for ABN AMRO’s brokerage house in Argentina. She holds a BSc in Economics from Buenos Aires University. Silvina is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
