Saugata Saha

Chief Financial Officer, S&P Global Market Intelligence and S&P Global Platts

Saugata leads finance for two of S&P Global’s data and benchmark products divisions: S&P Global Market Intelligence and S&P Global Platts.

In prior roles at the company, Saugata led financial planning & analyses (FP&A) and corporate strategy for the company; managed operations and finance for the global technology group; led M&A integration efforts for a major acquisition; and managed strategy & business development at S&P Global's Ratings division. Saugata joined S&P Global in 2014 as head of strategy and business development for the Ratings division. 

Previously, Saugata was a consultant at McKinsey & Co.’s New York office where he led client engagements focused on developing corporate and financial strategy and on improving operations across a range of industries, with particular emphasis on financial services. 

Before joining McKinsey, Saugata spent seven years at The Godrej Group, a $4 billion diversified conglomerate in Mumbai, India. At the Godrej Group, Saugata led sales teams, supply chain re-engineering projects, and corporate strategy and business development.

Saugata holds a bachelor of science degree in Economics, with Honors, from St. Xavier’s College in Kolkata, India; a post-graduate diploma in Management from the Xavier Institute in Bhubaneswar, India; and a master of business administration degree from Harvard Business School, where he was a George F. Baker Scholar.
