Chief Commercial Officer
Ellen began her career in software sales in San Francisco during the dot-com era. Upon relocating back to Virginia in 2005, she joined SNL Financial where she worked as an account manager servicing SNL's financial institutions. In 2008, she took on leadership over SNL's account management department, working through renewal negotiations with SNL's larger clients and strengthening the performance culture within the account management division. Thereafter in 2012, she absorbed sales operations and led SNL through its commercial transformation, in sales process, incentives and enabling tools from 2012-2014.
She has worked in close partnership with the marketing and product management teams in her years within commercial at SNL and now with S&P Global Market Intelligence. She enjoys roles that seek to drive enhanced productivity from client-facing teams, through a focused client-first sales process, efficiency tools and deliberate talent development and incentive programs. Currently, she is the Market Intelligence Chief Commercial Officer. She led the commercial strategy and integration of SNL and S&P Capital IQ, which took effect on January 1, 2017 and involved sweeping change across the 850+ combined commercial organization.
Ellen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington and Lee University in Business Administration and Management.
