Philip Murphy

Managing Director and Global Head of Index Governance - S&P Dow Jones Indices

Philip Murphy is Managing Director and Global Head of the Index Governance Group at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI). In this role, he focuses on the structure, process, culture, and strategy of our index governance regime.

Philip joined S&P DJI in 2007 and has held various senior roles in Product Management, Channel Management, and Global Research & Design. Prior to his current role, he served as the chairperson of several index committees in the Americas.

Philip is a CFA Charterholder and member of the CFA Society of New York. He received his undergraduate degree from Queens College of The City University of New York and a master’s in economics from Fordham University.
