Chief Index Officer, S&P Dow Jones Indices
Charles Mounts is Chief Index Officer at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI) and a member of the S&P DJI Operating Committee. Charles oversees S&P DJI’s Product Management, Global Research & Design, and Index Investment Strategy business units, aligning client and market opportunities across the index lifecycle.
Prior to his current role, Charles served as Managing Director of Global Research & Design at S&P DJI, managing a team of research analysts that combine their market knowledge and analytic skills to design indices and provide thought leadership across asset classes and index strategies.
Charles has over 25 years of experience in global fixed income financial markets, including stints at Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs and UBS.
Over the course of his career Charles has held numerous leadership positions, including the Global Head of FICC research at UBS Investment Bank. Charles was also the Chairman of the Bond Market Association’s Committee on Research Conflicts.
Charles holds a bachelor’s degree from Claremont McKenna College and a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University.
