Chief Information Security Officer, S&P Global
Laura is the Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer for S&P Global. She leads S&P Global’s security governance and enterprise-wide risk management practices. This includes evaluating and monitoring enterprise security risks, establishing common standards for risk mitigation and providing security oversight and governance. With eighteen years’ experience protecting multi-national corporations from cyber-security threats, Laura was hired as the first female CISO at S&P Global in June 2016.
Laura joined us from PR Newswire where she was responsible for the vision, strategy and execution of all aspects of Information Security. In that role, she established the information security program based on the ISO 27001/2 framework and successfully led the company through the aftermath of a major cyber security attack. Over her career, Laura has worked with functions such as Security Operations Command, Vulnerability Management, Application Security, Security Consulting, Penetration Testing, Security Architecture and Security Strategy.
Laura holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Old Dominion University in Virginia and is a member of a number of information security and technology societies including OWASP, ISC2, and Society of Women Engineers (SWE).
