Costs and Supply Chain Indexes

The UOCI tracks and forecasts the cost of materials and services that must be procured for upstream operations, helping members to better anticipate changes in the costs associated with operating upstream oil and gas facilities. It is similar to the consumer price index (CPI) in that it provides a clear, transparent benchmark tool for tracking and forecasting a complex and dynamic environment. UOCI is a work product of the Costs and Expenditures service.

DCCI tracks the costs of equipment, facilities, materials and personnel (both skilled and unskilled) used in the construction of a geographically diversified portfolio of 40 refining and petrochemical construction projects. It is similar to the consumer price index (CPI) in that it provides a clear, transparent benchmark tool for tracking and forecasting a complex and dynamic environment. DCCI is a work product of the Downstream Capital Costs Service.

NACI is designed to help clients effectively monitor, forecast and manage major capital investment costs for North American conventional and nonconventional well costs, and deepwater Gulf of Mexico (GOM) field development. S&P Global tracks the performance of onshore markets in drilling, completions, facilities and operating costs. Offshore markets include rigs overview, vessels, subsea and equipment and operating costs. The service helps participants better anticipate the costs associated with producing oil and natural gas in North America through 2040. NACI is a work product of the North American Costs and Expenditures service.

UII tracks the cost impact of efficiency and design changes on a portfolio of pre-production projects. It accounts for structural cost evolution when making cost escalation assumptions, performs gap analysis against the benchmark for your project or project portfolio, and sets an achievement target that illustrates best practices and optimum project potential.
