Stocks surplus against 5-year, 10-year averages fall
Hydro output rises to 513 GWh on higher demand
Year-to-date hydro output 45% higher on year
London — Spanish hydro power stocks fell in the seven days to Aug. 30 -- Week 35 -- to less than 11.73 TWh, or 50% of capacity, with the surplus against historical averages narrowing for a second consecutive week, environment ministry data showed Sept. 1.
The surplus to the five-year average fell for a second week to 1.78 TWh from 1.92 TWh the previous week, while the surplus to the 10-year average eased to 0.82 TWh down from 0.97 TWh the week before.
Hydro output in week 35 rose to 513 GWh, from 467 GWh the previous week on higher power demand.
Total hydro output since the start of the year to Aug. 30 was 23.15 TWh, up 45% on the year.
