David Adams has been the President of the Global Automakers of Canada (GAC) since 2005. The GAC is the national trade association representing the Canadian interests of 15 of the world's most dynamic automakers. David is a sought-after commentator on the automotive industry and the issues impacting it. He also serves on the Boards of the: Automotive Business School of Canada (ABSC); Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF); and Canadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan (CAMVAP). In addition, Adams writes a monthly byline "The Big Picture" for Canadian Auto Dealer magazine and hosts "From Here to Where?" - a podcast about the future of the automotive industry in Canada, and the future of the automobile in society. David also spearheads the association's DEI initiatives to assist in strengthening the auto industry by reaching out to untapped talent pools. David is an avid cyclist, a pickleballer, and a skier and is a student of both Stoicism and mindfulness.
